Job Title:

Resilient Families Mental Health Assessment Counsellor

Position Overview:
The Child & Youth Advocacy Centre (CYAC) of Kelowna is seeking a compassionate and skilled Mental Health Assessment Counsellor to join our multi-disciplinary team. This role centers on conducting comprehensive mental health assessments to uncover the underlying causes of client concerns and collaborating with the broader team to determine and implement effective support pathways.

In addition to assessment work, the counsellor will hold a small in-house caseload, providing counselling using evidence-based, therapeutic approaches focused on trauma and attachment. The position also includes case management responsibilities, ensuring coordinated care through warm transfers, appropriate referrals, and seamless service navigation for children, youth, and families.

This is a meaningful opportunity to make a lasting impact while receiving ongoing training and supervision in best-practice, trauma-informed care.

Pay Range: $29/hr - $34/hr depending on experience.
