CORE SERVICES

The CAC is designed to accommodate a team of highly-skilled professionals who are empowered to collaborate on cases, take actions that prevent re-victimization, and support the child’s long-term well-being, as well as non-offending caregivers. Our goal is to provide a centre of leadership, promoting excellence in child abuse services, research, training and education – a collective community response to protecting children from abuse.

Key services of the CAC will include but are not limited to:

  • Forensic child interviews
  • Medical evaluation
  • Advocacy and support
  • Court preparation
  • Case coordination and review
  • Therapy
  • Community education
  • Professional training for social workers, medical staff and police
